Open Letter for our clients, affiliates, publishers, and valuable partners from Epic Media Group, June 7, 2012
I am David Graff and I'm writing to provide you with an update regarding Epic Media Group (EMG) and its two ongoing businesses, Epic Advertising and Epic Marketplace.
You may be aware that EMG has experienced significant financial challenges over the past several months, which have adversely affected our ability to pay our publishers and partners in a timely manner. A series of extremely difficult issues, including significant lawsuits against predecessor companies, the collapse of several large advertisers, and the economic downturn in general have had a negative impact on our cash flow.
EMG has been taking steps to address our obligations to our creditors and partners and operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. We have closed offices, significantly reduced our headcount, cut executive compensation, and reduced the number of active publishing partners in order to better manage our liquidity. Management is also developing, together with our Board of Directors and secured lenders, a comprehensive plan that we hope will allow us to continue operations and resolve our liabilities. I've been asked recently to spearhead this process, and I am working diligently to do so.
To that end, I have engaged a professional firm, Accord Associates, to assist Epic in contacting our publishing partners and vendors in the next week to discuss payment arrangements. Via this website, I would also like to open a line of communication so that I can provide updates on the company's progress. You may also contact me at questions[at]theepicmediagroup.com.
I do want to clarify what may be some confusion about EMG's corporate structure. At times of corporate hardship, rumors abound; most recently, we have seen some blog rumors suggesting that EMG has "closed down" and "transferred" people over to new companies. This is not the case. Epic Media Group has not been shut down, but we have been negotiating sales of corporate assets that are no longer critical to EMG's core business. Likewise, some EMG employees, confronted with potential downsizing, have chosen to accept positions at other companies.
I relate the above simply to ensure that there is adequate transparency during this time. Again, we want to keep an open line of communication and provide you with factual, accurate information about EMG. Our team is doing everything it can to address our financial challenges for the benefit of all affected parties, including our valued publishers, affiliates and creditors.
We regret the hardship and inconvenience that this may be causing and ask for your patience and cooperation as we work through this process.
Thank you,
David Graff

YieldAds is big display ad network with global traffic. We did cooperate with EpicDirect appr. one year ago. Since then Epic Direct owes us $4200 The EpicDirect office in London is closed. You need to contact the U.S. office in New York for your money, but chances are low.

they are in talks over bankruptcy. they have laid off all employees as well. i wonder if there was a way for everyone to sue the advertisers who owed them since this is why they are going down for some sort of partial payment
EPIC DIRECT DOES NOT PAY THEIR AFFILIATES ANYMORE! JOIN THE FACEBOOK PAGE AND SHARE YOUR STORY IF THEY HAVE NOT PAID YOU YET.

I promoted a bunch of different dating offers between March and July 2011, wrapping up around about $4300. EpicDirect never paid me until today. I tried everything to make them pay. Gave it to our lawyer now. Very very demoralizing all that. EpicDirect looks like a well established affiliate network, throwing Playboy Mansion parties and such. But they don't pay.
Prepaid them $1,000 to run an offer. Never sent any traffic and now we're out the Money with no return. That was 8 months ago . Called our AM Simon. No response. can you guys just send my money back please
Have been having major issues with them.... was set to be paid by them January 31st for the first time. Our payment disappeared from their system... no payment made... we sent an email... here was our response:

Hey Sonya,
Your voicemail was just forwarded to my cell. Your payment for January may not show up under your view but on our end we still see it. We recently updated our system and some accounts don’t show payment history. I will speak with my director about combining and releasing these and I would also recommend emailing Samir Jordan in our payment department at pubpayments@epicdirectnetwork.com to help speed this issue up.
Best,
Blake
then we emailed this samir guy to ask when we would be paid.... here is his response:

Hello Sonya,
I can see you are owed $1378.37 at this time.
Unfortunately, I have no release date for this payment at this time.
We thank you for your continued patience as we work towards rectifying our automatic payment issue.
Kind regards,
Samir Jordan

we have tried on numerous times to get this company to pay us what is due on the account. they admit that the money is due & that they see it... we show $1724.54, which may not have been reflective when they sent the above emails. But we have not gotten anywhere with this network.
They respond to us, but give us excuse after excuse & NEVER follow thru with anything & more importantly HAVE NOT PAID US!!!
This is ridiculous - this is supposed to be a MAJOR network???? How can they be a major network & NOT pay????
Don't get paid for 6 months! Stop working with them!
What is this Tatto 2.0? How about you guys just pay me what I'm owed before you implode. Thanks.
STAY AWAY! While Epic Direct may have seen better days, they are NOT PAYING PUBLISHERS now. I decided to give them a try, with minimal exposure during the end of 2011. After not receiving a small ($400) payment from them I pulled their ads and contacted them. They still haven't paid. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and use a network who actually pays affiliates.
I was paid for 5 months but never on time. Had to run after them day and day out for my hard earned money. They blocked my account for no reason and are not willing to pay me $16k for Dec 2011 and Jan 2012. Todd Stern as an AM sucks Big Time. They have serious cash flow issues. In the next 6 months this is network is going down.
