Interview: Joe Babineau (JVBillboard.com)

We're very excited to present our 59th interview with Joe Babineau of JVBillboard.com.   Joe Babineau is a veteran online marketer and has been doing CPA affiliate marketing in his spare time for over 10 years. He recently did an interview with us to discuss his latest creation the new JVBillboard.com platform. Joe has a great deal of experience in many areas of online marketing including media buys, Facebook advertising, and PPC. He has also released a few products of his own explaining up to date SEO strategies, viral traffic methods, and offers 1 on 1 training through his own membership training platform. When asked about his latest creation JVBillboard.com he says, "I wanted to make the task of finding innovative business ideas a breeze for everyone including business owners, and affiliates. Most places I found charged money to interact with other JV's so it was time consuming and expensive to find partners. This new system is going to change all of that and make it extremely easy to find partners, and make money".  

1. Could you tell us something about yourself? How old are you? Where were you born?

Hi I am 34 and live in Canada and was born here. I used to be a bartender to make some extra cash but eventually I decided I wanted to start making money in my own home so I resorted to online marketing, and really enjoy doing it.  

2. How did you get involved in internet marketing? What/Who inspired you to enter it?

I met a few guys who were making incredible amounts of money online with simple SEO, and niche sites. Then I started reading up in forums like WF and 5 star affiliate and got inspired by all the success stories. I started with SEO, and then moved into some paid traffic then played the Facebook game and have been doing really well with FB ads. After a few years of making money from paid ads and some SEO sites, I realized I was not building my own business, I was building other peoples businesses so I had to make some tweaks to my own affiliate marketing plans. I released my first Clickbank product and during the launch phase I realized it was necessary to find good affiliates to promote the products in order to be successful . As I started searching for JV partners I found it was very time consuming to go and search for these partners, and any place I did find tried to charge over $30 - $50 a month just to get access to their members area. I realized that there was a need for an easy to use tool that allowed everyone to just go and browse or post JV opportunities.  

3. What advice do you have for other affiliates to make money?

I must say my CPA marketing is one of my best performers. Best of all, Facebook came in at the exact right time since Google was starting to weed out affiliates left and right, so I decided to avoid Google and learned FB ads. Facebook has been really good to me in terms of getting decent leads and CPA sales. As for hitting the "big time" I still think there are much bigger and better things to come, so I am patiently waiting. My biggest concern as an affiliate is that you really need to learn how to build your own business at the same time. In other words, many affiliates don't take the time, or don't know how to build a business that allows them to leverage their time, or to build a residual income. Some ways to do this are by building your own business online like a website or service and getting JV partners to work with you, build a list while promoting affiliate offers, or build sites that will rank and will be easy to find affiliate products for.  

4. Have you ever had any failures? What did you learn from them?

Of course. I probably failed 90% of the things I tried, but the 10% success rate is worth a lot more. I learned that you have to be driven to succeed, never give up, and realize that sometimes it only takes one small little fix that could take a losing campaign into a hugely profitable campaign.  

5. Please, tell us some words about JV Billboard and how it can help people build their business?

JVBillboard.com is a great tool for anyone who wants to build a profitable business both online or offline and it is free to join. It is basically a "social network" and ad platform combined and designed for everyone including affiliates, vendors, business owners, investors, you name it. The concept is simple, entrepreneurs can easily pitch their business concept, launch details, investment opportunity, or services to the global community. As a result, they get free global exposure from business like minded individuals, and a great chance to find jv partners who have the cash and the know-how make things happen on a bigger scale. Best of all, members get access to their own members area which is a nicely designed backend which allows you to set up a profile, interact with other JV's and use the tools available. We also have a full discussion forum design, which now is in its infancy, but we expect it to grow rapidly once people are aware of the service. Affiliates are also using the site to find untapped traffic sources, niches, and partners.  

6. How has the response been since you launched JV Billboard?

The response has been great we just launched the site and we have a few hundred members already and some ads are getting hundreds of views already. Our blog is getting a lot of traffic as well and the feedback is great so far. We are always open to suggestions on how we can make this the top spot online to find JV's and business ideas.  

7. What are your plans and goals in 2012? Where JV Billboard may be going?

My goal is to have 1,000,000 members by 2013. I think this is achievable since it is a free service, and if you are a business minded individual then you will find it is actually exciting to see the different ads coming in with different ideas, and opportunities. We want JVbillboard to be the easiest place online to meet and interact with potential business partners for any potential joint venture. We have already been seeing some very innovative ideas, and joint venture opportunities and we are just beginning. I think JVBillboard.com is going to make a lot of people a lot of money.
